That’s a huge step. It means the player is open. It means City can now turn all their attention to Chelsea.
But don’t go announcing him at the Etihad just yet. Because while Enzo might be ready, the clubs are not. And in football, the clubs are the ones who sign the papers.

Forget the drama for a second and look at the football. This makes sense for City.

Let’s lay it out simply because this is getting messy.
First, the player. That part looks done. Verbal agreement on terms. Enzo wants to go.
Second, the bid. That part hasn’t happened. City have not made a formal offer to Chelsea yet. All the talk so far has been through intermediaries and briefings.
